The brainchild of three boutique vintners from Napa Valley, The Find is seeks to bring the wine country experience out of the walled city of wine country and directly to wine lovers’ back yards.
Winemakers are constantly looking for that great find. Whether it be the perfect vineyard sites to produce the wine they envision, or a hole in the wall restaurant that makes an out of this world brisket. It is exactly that spirit of discovery that inspired The Find.
Experience a very carefully curated selection of boutique, vintner owned brands the way typically reserved for a trip to wine country. Taste with the owners. Learn from the farmers. Discover wines largely unavailable outside of Napa Valley.
They each migrated to Napa Valley years ago to pursue their passions. One from Boston. One from Indiana. One from Texas. Now with a combined 60+ years of industry experience between them, they’re taking what they’ve learned (and made) on the road.
Louis hails from a horse farming family in the hills of southern Indiana, but discovered his passion for wine far away in upstate Maine working at the idyllic Migis Lodge as a wine captain. He went on to be a sommelier in Chicago, and retail wine buyer in Indianapolis before making the move to Napa Valley in 2009.
Since landing in wine country, Louis has worked for some of Napa’s most iconic vintners including Jean-Charles Boisset and Francis Ford Coppola. In 2018 he saw fit to finally pursue his dream and started his own small label – “Alinda” – which will land at The Find in early 2020.
A proud son of Boston, Andrew spent his formative years on the east coast as a fine wine retailer. In 2005 he made the move to Napa to pursue his dream of becoming a vintner. In 2007 that dream was realized when he launched AJ-Pearce wines with his partner, winemaker Jared Pearce.
In 2012 Andy added a Pinot Noir to his repertoire in launching Solamente. As if two wine brands weren’t enough, he opened The Wine Thief, a wine tasting collective in Napa Valley in 2014 – and was voted “Best Wine Bar” in Napa by Napa Valley Life magazine in 2018.
Jason Moore is Texan through and through. Big, strong and no stranger to hard work, he was always drawn to the farming aspect of winemaking. Jason moved to Napa in 2002 after falling in love with wine while working is some of Dallas’ top restaurants, and began the long task of learning winemaking the hard way.
In 2004 at just 26 years old Jason Launched Modus Operandi wines. Since its humble 200 case beginning it has grown to be one of the most talked about cult Cabernets in Napa, with it’s 2013 and 2015 “Collection” Cabernet Sauvignon receiving 97 points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.
The chosen few
We know each one of these men and women personally. Their wine is more than a brand, it’s a life’s work. These hand picked wines are scarcely available outside of wine country and are all vintner owned.

“Napa Valley is one of the world’s premier wine destinations, but the region’s popularity increasingly makes it a hassle to visit. Our goal is to bridge the gap, bringing the insider’s wine country experience directly to wine lovers’ backyards.”
“We’re going to pull back the curtain during harvest by setting up webcams in our partner winery cellars, and live stream the winemaking action on the crushpad for our Nomad visitors to view,”
“Napa’s soil and climate are ideal for growing the world’s best wine grapes, but too often, the fruit of these farmers’ labor is only available to insiders like us who know local vintners personally. We want to open that experience up to the rest of the Bay Area.”
